GALR1 inhibits adenylyl cyclase via a G protein of the Gi/Go family. GALR1 is widely expressed in the brain and spinal cord, and in peripheral sites such as the small intestine and heart. The rat galanin receptor cDNA cloned from an insulinoma cell line is a predicted 346-amino acid G protein-coupled receptor with 92% homology to the human 甘丙肽受体1抗体GALR1. Function: Receptor for the hormone galanin. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins that inhibit adenylate cyclase activity. Subcellular Location: Cell Membrane; multi pass membrane protein Post-translational modifications: Palmitoylated on at least one of the three cysteine residues present in the C-terminal part.
