The four exons encode the 5' untranslated region, pre peptide, a short N terminal domain and a C terminal domain composed of a variable number of lipid binding amphipathic helices. Familial apolipoprotein A II deficiency may result from a splice junction alteration which blocks splicing of intron 3 from the primary transcript and result载脂蛋白A2抗体 in the formation of a non functional mRNA. Function: May stabilize HDL (high density lipoprotein) structure by its association with lipids, and affect the HDL metabolism. Subunit: Homodimer; disulfide-linked. Also forms a disulfide-linked heterodimer with APOD. Interacts with HCV core protein. Interacts with APOA1BP and NDRG1. Subcellular Location: Secreted.
