They have been proposed to act either as catalysts or as molecular chaperones in protein-folding events. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2008] Function: PPIases accelerate the folding of proteins. It catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. May be involved in亲环素J抗体 pre-mRNA splicing. Tissue Specificity: Ubiquitous. Detected at low levels. Similarity: Belongs to the cyclophilin-type PPIase family. PPIL3 subfamily.
