This gene resides in a susceptibility locus for autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD) on chromosome 8q24. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009] Function: May be involved in transcriptional regulation. Overexpression causes down-regulation of a number of genes involved in the immune response. Some genes are also up-regulated. Subcellular Location: Nucleus. Cytoplasm > cytosol. Tissue Specificity: Isoform 1 is strongly expressed in placenta, 锌指蛋白406抗体spleen, kidney, testis and peripheral blood leukocytes.
