SKIV2L2 is an exosome-associated protein and may be involved in the recruitment of the exosome to pre-rRNA, to mediate the 3' end processing of 5.8S rRNA. Function: May be involved in pre-mRNA splicing. Associated with the RNA exosome complex and involved in the 3'-processing of the 7S pre-RNA to the mature 5.8S rRNA.
