Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011] Function: Sequence-specific RNA-binding protein which participates in the control of pre-mRNA splicing. Subcellular Location: Nucleus. Tissue Specificity: Highest expression in heart, skeletal muscle and pancreas. Less abundant in kidney, placenta TRA2B蛋白抗体and brain. Lowest expression in kidney and liver. Post-translational modifications: Phosphorylated in the RS domains. Dimethylation at Arg-241 is probably asymmetric.
