CENPI is required for the localization of CENPF and the checkpoint proteins MAD1 and MAD2 to the kinetochore. Subcellular Location: Cytoplasmic and Nuclear Post-translational modifications: Sumoylated. Sumoylated form can be polyubiquitinated by RNF4, leading to 着丝粒蛋白I抗体its degradation.
