Attractin蛋白抗体产品介绍：background: Mahogany (MG), originally identified as a protein involved in pigmentation, acts in conjunction with melanocortin receptors to suppress diet-induced obesity. Mahogany contains a single transmembrane domain, and it is expressed in a broad range of tissues, including the hypothalamus and pigment cells. Mutations within the mahogany gene were shown to rescue agouti-lethal-yellow mutant mice from obesity. The extracellular domain of mouse mahogany is the ortholog of the human protein attractin. Attractin (also designated DPPT-L) is a human serum glycoprotein and is a member of the CUB family of cell adhesion and guidance proteins. Attractin is expressed on activated T cells and is released from the cells 48 to 72 hours after activation. Function: Involved in the initial immune cell clustering during iAttractin蛋白抗体nflammatory response and may regulate chemotactic activity of chemokines. May play a role in melanocortin signaling pathways that regulate energy homeostasis and hair color. Low-affinity receptor for agouti (By similarity). Has a critical role in normal myelination in the central nervous system. Subunit: Monomer and homotrimer. Subcellular Location: Secreted and Cell membrane. Tissue Specificity: Isoform 2 is detected in Attractin蛋白抗体plasma (at protein level). Expressed and secreted by activated T lymphocytes. Expressed at low to moderate levels in peripheral blood leukocytes, spleen, lymph node, tonsil, bone marrow and fetal liver. At very low levels found in thymus.
