This protein binds tothe intracellular membrane-distal phosphatase domain of tyrosinephosphatase LAR, and appears to localize LAR to cell focaladhesions. This interaction may regulate the disassembly of focaladhesion and thus help orchestrate cell-matrix interactions.Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinctisoforms have been described.
